Swanson Boswellia Serrata (Incense)
Boswellia is obtained from the Boswellia Serrata tree, found in India, Nigeria and East Africa. From this tree, the resin present in the bark, the so-called boswellia, is harvested.
Boswellia serrata resin extract helps maintain healthy joints, supports their mobility, is used in Ayurvedic medicine to treat rheumatism.
Boswellia serrata owes its properties to boswellic acids, which are classified as triterpenes. Thanks to the content of boswellic acid, this extract has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal properties, reduces inflammation in the course of rheumatism, and has a protective effect on the liver parenchyma.
