Biotin, or vitamin B7 or vitamin H, is a water-soluble B vitamin. Vitamin B7 is involved in the metabolism of fats, proteins and carbohydrates, e.g. metabolizes leucine, synthesizes fatty acids and participates in the process of gluconeogenesis. Vitamin B7 is necessary for the proper growth and development of the body, and also affects the proper functioning of our nervous system, bone marrow and skin.
