Seborrheic Dermatitis Hair Oil is designed to loosen scaly build-up, moisturize, condition, and prevent flaking, resulting in a healthy and soothed scalp. It also works by supporting collagen production and increasing cells involved in skin regeneration. Our Seborrheic Dermatitis Oil contains triterpenoids, which increase the flow of blood to the skin surface, which helps wounds to heal faster as well as strengthening the skin.

HOW TO USE:

  1. Hot oil treatments: Apply oil to your scalp, cover your hair with a processing cap, and allow it to sit for 10-30 mins while either under a hooded dryer or with a warm towel. This will loosen the flakes from your scalp. Gently use the pads of your fingers to agitate scales or simply apply a thin coating of our scalp oil to your problem areas at night and shampoo out in the morning for a refreshed and revitalized scalp that may be adhered to the scalp. This can also function as a great pre-poo.

  2. It is best to use a shampoo to lift and remove the dirt and oil. If you need a potent shampoo to help effectively clean the scalp. Make sure you focus on the scalp and do not overly smooth the cleanser down the length of the hair. Rubbing it along the length can cause excessive dryness and rough up the hair shaft.

  3. Follow up with a deep conditioner in order to reinforce and seal in moisture.


Scientists are now discovering that almost all chronic disease are directly tied to inflammation. And Seborrheic Dermatitis is no exception. Inflammation is a normal bodily response to injury, allergens, infection, etc. It's part of the healing process. But sometimes this healing mechanism doesn't know when to turn itself off. The result is chronic inflammation.

**The good news is with proper diet and lifestyle changes, we can turn off this runaway inflammation that causes it.

Inflammatory Foods

The single most effective thing you can do to rid yourself of Seborrheic Dermatitis forever is to improve your diet. You also need to eliminate foods that promote inflammation. Simply cutting out the junk food (chips, baked goods, soda, fast food, fried food, etc.) will catch most of these inflammatory foods.

(sugar, sucrose, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, dextrose, glucose, soda, candy)

The main foods to watch out for in the case of Seborrheic Dermatitis are dairy and wheat (gluten). Try eliminating these two foods from your diet for 3-4 weeks. If you can also temporarily eliminate most (or all) of the foods on the list...even better. And try to eliminate any foods you crave or eat almost every day.

When your symptoms improve (for at least 4 days in a row), foods are added back one at a time to determine which ones are causing you problems. If your symptoms do not improve within 4 weeks, it's possible that a more strict elimination diet is needed.

What to Eat

Fresh whole foods - consisting primarily of fruits and vegetables along with nuts/seeds, beans/legumes, spices/herbs, and sometimes fish or lean meats.(organic if possible, the more colorful the better, eat a large variety, lightly steam or sauté).
