Both infused oil varieties have a minimum of 1-2 year shelf life when stored in a cool dark location like a cabinet, etc., away from direct sunlight or heat sources.

To be used in the traditional method such as on breaks, sprains, strains, sore muscles, stress on shoulders, Achilles tendon, etc., (not to be used on open wounds).

Our all vegan organic  Comfrey Poultice is grown here on our South Dakota prairies with no pesticides or herbicides ever. It's a beautiful dark green and sweetly fragrant oil that has been infused double by my own hands in small batches. My PrairieWoodSprite Comfrey Boneknitter Poultice is shipped in glass mason jars.

Available in 2, 4 and 8 ounce sizes for now but feel free to ask if you need other sizes and I'll upgrade this listing to accommodate your needs.

DIRECTIONS: Poultices are a bit messy so be prepared. Stir well prior to use. Use as is, or may be thickened using a bit of arrowroot, cornmeal or even flour. Standard method of use is to topically apply well stirred poultice on unbroken skin and to cover using either gauze or plastic wrap over the application and keeping it doing its magic for 20 minutes to 3 hours.

MORE USE INFORMATION:

Here is some suggestions regarding how to use a comfrey poultice and more info you might find useful...

Supplies Needed

Gauze: Separate out the gauze pieces. You'll notice one piece has a wider weave which allows more of the poultice to seep through the gauze. Then the other piece is a tighter weave which is great for putting on top of the poultice.

Cheese Cloth/Muslin: If you don't have access to gauze, you can also use cheesecloth or muslin, but you may need to double up on the layers.

100% Cotton Fabric: If you have a 100% cotton sock, tea towel, or even old sheets, you can place some comfrey poultice either into the sock or on a scrap of fabric, then place the sock or fabric over the injured area.

How to Use Comfrey Poultice. Place the gauze with a thin to moderate layer of poultice over the injured area and let it sit for at least 30 minutes, up to several hours (or even overnight). I would cover the gauze covered poultice on the area of need with Saran Wrap or something similar followed by a final wrap of a towel to keep any comfrey poultice from seeping onto bedding, furniture or anything below the wrapped area.

Additionally may be used to make your own salves, creams, lotions and soaps simply by adding/substituting your comfrey infused poultice matter for the existing oil required in your formula. Your family, friends and customers will love the results!
