The NOW® Gr8-Dophilus ™ is a mix of 8 different strains of live bacterial cultures. Fructooligosaccharides (FOS), also found in the composition, support healthy growth of bacteria from the acidophilus and bifidus groups. Gr-8 Dophilus ™ capsules have an anti-etching coating and are therefore able to deliver bacterial microflora directly to the intestines. Passing without damage through a difficult acidic environment in the stomach, they avoid stomach acid which destroys it.
