- Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is a type of neurotransmitter that inhibits the activity of the nervous system. Its malfunction is associated with a wide spectrum of neuropsychiatric disorders.
- Valerian is a plant that has been used as a remedy for many ailments for centuries. From its Latin name Valeriana officinalis, it is also often referred to as valerian. Valerian is especially valued for its calming properties. By lowering the activity of the central nervous system, it leads to a reduction in tension and tranquility. It helps in achieving a state of relaxation. In larger doses, it is used as a natural sleeping aid. It helps you fall asleep and also reduces the number of awakenings during the night.
- Inconspicuous lemon balm contains many substances that are beneficial to our health. The most important component of lemon balm leaves is essential oil, the main ingredients of which are citral, citronellal and geraniol. Apart from essential oil, lemon balm leaves also contain tannins, flavonoids, bitterness, mucilage, chlorophyll, carotenoids and phenolic acids, of which the most active are: rosmarinic, coffee and ferulic acids.
