Damiana Leaf Tea
Damiana (Turnera diffusa) is a low-growing plant with yellow flowers and fragrant leaves. Damiana is native to Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. This aromatic, flowering herb belongs to the Turneraceae plant family and blossoms in early to late summer and is followed by fruits that taste similar to figs. The shrub is said to have a strong spice-like odor somewhat like chamomile, due to the essential oils present in the plant
The active compounds present in damiana are tannins, resins, up to 0.9% volatile oils, including calamine, gamma-cadinene, thymol, p-cymene, 1,8-cineole and alpha- and beta-pinene.
Ingredients: Turnera diffusa
