D-Ribose Pure Powder ALINESS Cell Energy Support ATP Sweetener on Keto Diet 200G
ALINESS D-Ribose (Cell energy) 200g
D-ribose is a five-carbon simple sugar belonging to aldoses, i.e. monosaccharides with an aldehyde group. Despite the similar structure and belonging to the same group of compounds, D-ribose has different properties and functions in the body from standard sugars such as glucose, fructose or sucrose.
ATP - Energy - Metabolism
- The energy provided in food undergoes metabolic changes, i.e. multi-stage transformation and distribution, to finally be converted into ATP, which is the main energy carrier in biochemical reactions taking place in the mitochondria, called the process of cellular respiration. Thus, ATP is the basic form of energy available directly to every cell in the body.
D-ribose occurs naturally in the body as one of the building blocks of ATP.
- During intense exercise, e.g. during training, the oxygen level in the cells drops and energy deficiencies appear. Then the demand for ATP increases, which begins to be used intensively, as a result of which the body renews energy resources. The result, however, is also a depletion of ATP stores.
- Therefore, after training, it is important to renew ATP resources and supplementation with D-ribose may be helpful.
D-ribose as a "keto sweetener"
- D-ribose is a compound that can be successfully used as a sweetener by people on a ketogenic diet. Although it is also sugar and has a sweet taste, unlike traditional sugar such as glucose or sucrose, it does not raise blood glucose levels.
- Unlike standard 6-carbon sugars such as glucose, D-ribose is a 5-carbon sugar, i.e. pentose. Therefore, despite its calorific value similar to glucose (4kcal / g), D-ribose is a very poor fuel for the body. This is because cells have a number of safeguards that prevent D-ribose from being "wasted" as direct fuel, such as glucose. The body therefore distinguishes D-ribose from other carbohydrates and directs this important sugar where it is actually needed.
Aliness D-ribose does not contain any animal ingredients, making it a product suitable for vegans. The product does not contain any artificial technological additives, preservatives or dyes.
The product D-ribose is recommended for physically active people (after training) and people on a ketogenic diet.
