SOWELO PANAX GINSENG contains 250 mg of panax (Korean) ginseng extract standarized to 50mg of ginsenosides in one tablet.

The first written mention of ginseng dates back to the 1st century B.C., in the work Shennong's Roots and Herbs, attributed to the legendary Chinese ruler Shennong. Dry ginseng roots became known to Europe in 1610, when they were first imported by Dutch traders from Japan. One hundred years later, a tincture of ginseng, called pentao, was used at the court of Louis XIV. In the 19th century, the value of dry ginseng root was 18 times that of gold.
The medicinal raw material is the root (Radix Ginseng). So far, around 200 substances have been identified in it. The most important of them include: unique, found only in ginseng, triterpene saponins (ginsenosides), vitamins, trace elements, choline, volatile aromatic compounds, peptidoglycans and nitrogen compounds. It is the ginsenosides, about 16 of which have been isolated so far, that are responsible for a very wide spectrum of action and properties of ginseng.
The active substances contained in ginseng determine its comprehensive effect on the body. Ginseng extracts have a general stimulating and strengthening effect on the motor and secretory centers in the central nervous system and medulla oblongata. The stimuli coming from these centers reach many internal organs and this should explain such a large variety of actions. Studies confirm that ginseng lowers blood pressure, increases the amount of urine excreted and detoxifies the body, reduces blood sugar and cholesterol levels, improves the functioning of the reproductive system, strengthens the body's immunity and stimulates heart function. It is also known that it increases the overall efficiency of the body and adaptability, even to difficult and unfavorable environmental conditions, including high effort.
