This formula is for the high-pitta person who is getting way too hot, especially with a burning sensation. Often, this formula can be combined with other formulas for the extra cooling effect. Remember that a hot body temperature, except for a fever due to infection, will lead to muscle inflammation, nerve pain, headaches, anger, and burning pain; thus, it should be managed ASAP. This formula does the job amazingly well, but the diet can not have any hot or heating foods like ginger, turmeric, all peppers, and chili peppers.

This formula can be taken by itself in small doses or combined with WEIGHT LOSS FORMULA PITTA, HOT FLASH FORMULA, PAIN AND DETOX FORMULA - PITTA, ADRENAL FORMULA - PITTA, and the digestive aids listed below.

Take 1/2 to 1 teaspoon in about 1/2 cup hot water, cooled. For better results, add coconut water.

Add coconut water for fever, cane sugar for headache, and aloe vera for burning.

This formula comes in a small 2 oz jar. It costs more than other formulas because of the expensive ingredients, such as powdered pears and bhansmas, but because of their effectiveness, not much is needed.

Supportive products and their differences

• General Digestive Formula—Pitta Version—This traditional formula is for a Pitta-dominate or Pitta-Vata person who does not do well with hot spices but does not get acidity quickly. This type of person may sometimes have a poor appetite, sluggish bowels, or just one bowel movement a day, and does NOT get loose stools.
  
• Post Digestive Formula Pitta (Version) - This product (shown here) is for someone who sometimes gets acidity or quickly gets acity or heartburn, but not if they are careful not to have hot or sour foods. It is more cooling than General Digestive Formula and has no laxative effect; it can be used by someone with even loose stools. It is definitely for a pitta domante person.
• Acidity Formula—This formula is the most cooling for people with chronic acidity, acid reflux, heartburn, or even some GI tract burning. Often, Khabir provides the Post Digestive formula Pitta versions after a meal and says to take the acidity formula if and when you still get acidity. This formula can be taken anytime for acidity and heartburn.
• ACID BELLY TEA can also be taken between meals and at night for chronic cases, especially when a person is getting acidic at night and between meals.
